Notes from the dealer
Here's the case for this Durango: it's a one-owner, clean-CARFAX GT Plus with the two things most three-rows in this class don't give you together a 6-passenger captain's-chair layout that makes the second row genuinely comfortable and the third row easy to reach, and a factory Class IV tow setup with trailer brake control, load-leveling rear suspension, and even blind-spot monitoring with trailer detection. Add the Quick Order Package 2BH leather, navigation, Alpine audio, sunroof, adaptive cruise and this is the family hauler that tows the boat to Lake Macatawa without giving up a comfortable cabin.
Power comes from Chrysler's proven 3.6L Pentastar V6 paired with an 8-speed automatic and AWD, with heavy-duty engine cooling backing up the tow rating.
**GT Plus Comfort (Package 2BH)**

- Anyone cross-shopping an Explorer or Grand Cherokee L who wants the loaded one-owner
One owner, clean CARFAX, White over leather, captain's chairs in row two, Alpine sound and a sunroof above, and a Class IV hitch with brake control out back the Durango GT Plus done the loaded way.

Still love the Durango's
by SteveO on 7/10/2026 12:16:31 PM
This is my second Durango. The first was a 2015 RT which lasted to 170K before a camshaft/lifter problem. Looked at other SUVs but none could match the feel of the Durango. The Hemi, the trim, the sportiness, all were big sellers for me. Only have 6500 miles on it but it has no disappointed. Miss the lack of fog lights and while the floor shifter was missed in the first one now it just gets in the way of the cup holders. - 5.0
LOVE 5.7L V8 HEMI
by MK78 on 4/17/2026 2:14:00 AM
It's naturally aspirated and probably the best bang for your buck! I read many reviews and disagree with some of them. When you get behind the wheel of this particular vehicle, you have to appreciate the feel of a V8 Hemi engine. Some reviewers mention the efficiency (or lack of). Would you expect anything less from a car that delivers this much horsepower in an unassuming way? I also own a Ram 1500 that has all the bells & whistles (also with a 5.7L V8 Hemi), and it's already 10 years old, but just as beefy as the day it was being driven off the lot. I bought this knowing full well the gas mileage I would get, but don't care. I looked and researched electric cars for years, and still not convinced to go that route. My love for these types of cars stems from growing up at my parents' gas station. Forty years of exposure to American muscle cars has been extremely influential in regard to my choices when buying a new car. It's not broken and doesn't need fixing. Maintenance is the key to longevity. - 4.0
Great ride reliability better then expected
by SteveO on 12/22/2025 3:00:18 PM
I have had this vehicle for 10 years and overall have been very happy with it. We had towed with it for a number of years and it handled a 4700lb trailer fine. The hemi is great. Milage not so good but what do you expect from a V8. Reliability has been good until recently. Had to replace the starter, Fuel pump and some valve springs. For 170k miles overall not that bad. The fuel pump can only be accessed by dropping the gas tank. Put in an access door.
